Ecommerce development company
Ecommerce development is catalog architecture, checkout, payments, integrations and the merchandising tools people will use after launch. We build and improve Magento 2, Shopify and custom storefronts when those parts have to be true — not when a theme demo is enough.
Search results mix platform vendors, app builders and agencies. This page is the commercial overview: which platform, when to rebuild, and which child page to read next. How a project is sequenced lives on ecommerce development services.
Complex catalogs, B2B, multi-store, checkout policy. Read Magento development for upgrades, modules, themes and Magento performance.
Operational simplicity with a theme and app budget. Read Shopify development for themes, Plus, migrations and store optimization.
When native storefronts cannot express pricing or UX. Read custom ecommerce development.
New store.Platform choice, catalog model, checkout, integrations, redirects if you already have URLs from a brochure site, and analytics on the paths that take money.
Existing store.Magento upgrades, Shopify theme repair, performance and maintenance are often the higher-value work.
Replatform.Data, checkout parity and SEO redirects. Visuals are the least of it. We will not sell a migration as a theme copy.
The same process we use on web projects, with catalog and checkout as first-class artefacts rather than “pages.”
We start with how the business actually sells: catalog rules, checkout exceptions, content ownership, integrations and the current site’s constraints. The brief is a set of operating facts, not a mood board.
Information architecture, platform choices, rendering strategy and a delivery sequence that can ship. SEO requirements — URLs, canonicals, indexation rules — are written into the plan instead of being treated as a later campaign.
Layouts are designed around product discovery, content hierarchy and conversion paths. We keep the visual system calm enough to last, and specific enough that a category page and a service page are not the same template with different adjectives.
Implementation follows the architecture: Magento modules, Shopify themes or Next.js routes that a future developer can change. Integrations, payments and content models are built against real data, not placeholders that hide edge cases.
Before launch we measure what the stack actually does: template weight, third-party scripts, TTFB, crawl paths and form of structured data. Optimization is a pass on the product, not a separate “speed plugin.”
Go-live includes redirects, analytics, monitoring and a support window for the problems that only appear with real traffic. After that, maintenance is optional but designed in — patches, catalog changes and performance watch.

View Ecommerce PerformanceCost depends on catalog complexity, checkout rules, integrations and whether you are launching on Magento, Shopify or a custom stack. A focused Shopify storefront is a different engagement from a Magento 2 build with ERP, multi-store and custom checkout. We estimate after we see the catalog, integrations and the current site — not from a published starting price that ignores those facts.
A contained Shopify or marketing-led storefront can often be scoped in weeks. Magento 2 builds, migrations and stores with several integrations typically take months because catalog data, checkout and third-party systems have to be true, not just visually complete. Timeline is driven by content readiness and integration access as much as by engineering.
Shopify is usually the better fit when the catalog is relatively standard, the team wants operational simplicity and the app ecosystem covers the gaps. Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce or Open Source) is the better fit when you need deep catalog, pricing, B2B or checkout control that would otherwise become a pile of Shopify apps. The wrong choice is picking either platform because it is fashionable.
Yes. Migrations usually include catalog and customer data, URL redirects, checkout parity, payment and shipping methods, and a plan for SEO so organic landing pages are not discarded. Magento-to-Shopify, Shopify-to-Magento and replatforms onto a headless storefront are all possible; the risk is in data and redirects, not in the theme.
Only if the native storefront cannot meet the experience, performance or channel requirements, and you have the team to own two systems. Headless Magento or Shopify work adds a frontend (often Next.js) in front of the commerce engine. It is a good answer for some catalogs and a cost problem for others.
Send the platform, catalog shape and the current URL if it exists. We will say whether the next step is Magento work, Shopify, a migration, performance, or maintenance.
