Performance

Website performance optimization for Core Web Vitals and real user sessions

Performance work on a business site is usually a mix of template weight, image strategy, fonts, caching and marketing tags. We measure field data, then change the render path — especially when SEO and paid traffic are both paying for a slow first load.

Fit

Problems this work is meant to solve

  • 01

    Tag managers as the homepage

A clean Next.js or CMS template can still fail INP and LCP when the GTM container loads everything the company has ever signed a contract for. Tag discipline is performance work.

What the engagement covers

  • 01

    Render path

What blocks LCP, how much JavaScript hydrates, and what can stay on the server.

  • 02

    Assets and fonts

Responsive images, modern formats, font subsetting and layout stability.

  • 03

    Caching

CDN, ISR/revalidation and HTML caching appropriate to the framework.

  • 04

    Third-party tags

Inventory, consent-aware loading, and removal of pixels that nobody can name an owner for.

Section 01

Marketing sites versus ecommerce templates

If the bottleneck is Magento category HTML or Shopify app scripts, that is ecommerce performance optimization. This page is the broader web performance service: Next.js marketing sites, React apps, and the tag layer that sits on both. They often ship together.

Common questions

Questions we are actually asked

Why is website performance important for SEO?

Slow pages waste crawl budget, increase bounce on mobile, and fail Core Web Vitals thresholds that Google uses as quality signals. On ecommerce sites, performance also changes conversion: shoppers abandon heavy category and checkout templates. Speed work is both an SEO and a revenue task.

What are Core Web Vitals in practical terms?

Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift describe whether the main content appears promptly, whether the page responds quickly, and whether the layout jumps while loading. On stores, LCP is often a product image or hero; INP suffers from heavy JavaScript; CLS comes from late-loading banners and fonts.

Do you set up analytics and tracking?

We implement the technical side of analytics, tag placement and ecommerce events when they are in scope. We do not invent conversion numbers or install every marketing pixel requested. Tracking should match the checkout and lead events that actually exist.

When should we not rebuild the website?

If the platform still fits, the catalog is sound and the problems are concentrated in theme weight, a few modules or content structure, a targeted fix is cheaper than a rebuild. Rebuilds are justified when the architecture cannot meet SEO, performance or operating requirements even after cleanup.
