Next.js

Next.js development for sites that need routing, rendering and metadata under explicit control

Next.js is a good fit when you care how pages are rendered, how metadata is generated, and how little JavaScript ships to a marketing or storefront visitor. We build App Router sites and headless commerce frontends with those constraints written down, not assumed.

Fit

Problems this work is meant to solve

  • 01

“We switched to Next.js” as a performance strategy

Client-heavy Next.js apps are still slow. The benefit appears when Server Components, caching and image strategy are used on purpose. A migration that copies a React SPA into the App Router will disappoint.

  • 02

SEO left to the default head

Canonicals, Open Graph, JSON-LD and sitemap generation have to be modelled. Next.js makes that possible; it does not invent the policy.

What the engagement covers

  • 01

    App Router marketing sites

Typed routes, metadata, MDX or CMS-backed pages, and layouts that stay fast on content-heavy URLs.

  • 02

    Headless storefronts

Next.js in front of Magento, Shopify or another commerce API when the native theme is the constraint.

  • 03

    Rendering strategy

Static, dynamic and revalidated pages chosen per template, not as a single slogan.

  • 04

    Frontend SEO control

Metadata, robots, sitemaps, structured data and internal links as code.

Section 01

What we actually use in Next.js

  • Server Components by default; client components only for genuine interaction
  • next/font and next/image so typography and media are not an afterthought
  • Metadata API and a centralized SEO config so titles are not duplicated in layouts
  • Route handlers only when the site truly needs them — this marketing site itself stays static

If the problem is an interactive dashboard rather than a content site, React development may be the better framing. If the problem is Magento’s frontend, start from Magento development and decide whether Next.js is the storefront layer.

Section 02

Moving an existing site onto Next.js

A rebuild needs a content model, a redirect map and a plan for preview. WordPress, Webflow and aging CRA apps can all be sources. The risk is content loss and URL loss, not the React part. We treat the cutover as an SEO event.

Common questions

Questions we are actually asked

Can an existing website be rebuilt using Next.js?

Yes, when the current site is limited by a page builder, an aging CMS theme or a frontend that cannot meet performance and SEO requirements. A Next.js rebuild still needs a content model, redirects and a rendering strategy. It is not automatically faster — it is faster when templates, data fetching and third-party scripts are designed that way.

Do I need a headless ecommerce storefront?

Only if the native storefront cannot meet the experience, performance or channel requirements, and you have the team to own two systems. Headless Magento or Shopify work adds a frontend (often Next.js) in front of the commerce engine. It is a good answer for some catalogs and a cost problem for others.

Why is website performance important for SEO?

Slow pages waste crawl budget, increase bounce on mobile, and fail Core Web Vitals thresholds that Google uses as quality signals. On ecommerce sites, performance also changes conversion: shoppers abandon heavy category and checkout templates. Speed work is both an SEO and a revenue task.

Who owns the code and the store after the project?

You should. Magento code, Shopify themes and Next.js repositories are delivered so your team or a later partner can continue the work. We do not lock operational control behind an unowned app or a theme that only we can edit.
